Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy sets out how you can cancel service requests or engagements with Oditorz and the consequences such cancellation may have on fees and deliverables. Our work, performed primarily from Pune, Maharashtra, involves planning and deploying professional time and resources; therefore, cancellation terms are aligned with practical and fair considerations for both parties.

Cancellation by client

You may cancel or modify an engagement, subject to the following:

  • Before commencement of work
    • If you cancel before we begin work on your assignment (for example, before detailed analysis or data processing starts), we may, at our discretion, provide a partial or full refund of professional fees received, after deducting any administrative or consultation charges, if applicable.
  • After commencement of work
    • If you cancel after work has commenced (e.g., after data review, draft returns, or bookkeeping entries have been initiated), fees for the portion of work already completed will be payable and may be adjusted against any amount paid in advance.
    • In most cases, government and statutory fees paid for your assignment are non‑refundable, as they are paid to external authorities.
  • Near statutory deadlines
    • If you cancel close to filing deadlines and work has already been prioritised or expedited, higher deductions may apply, reflecting resources blocked and urgency.

Cancellation by Oditorz

We reserve the right to cancel or discontinue services in certain situations, such as:

  • Non‑payment or repeated delays in payment of agreed fees.
  • Persistent non‑cooperation, failure to provide required information or documents, or non‑response within reasonable time despite reminders.
  • Discovery of any misuse of our services, fraudulent intent, or unlawful activity.
  • Conflict of interest or ethical concerns that prevent us from continuing the engagement in line with professional standards.

Where cancellation is initiated by us for reasons other than breach by you, we will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Share completed work up to the cancellation date, subject to settlement of dues.
  • Consider a fair pro‑rata adjustment of fees, where appropriate.

Process for cancellation

To request cancellation of a service:

  • Contact us via email at info@oditorz.com or through any official communication channel specified in your engagement letter.
  • Provide your name, contact details, service description, and reason for cancellation.
  • We may seek clarifications to confirm the status of work and applicable fees.
  • After review, we will confirm acceptance of cancellation and inform you of any payable charges, possible refunds or credits (if any), and the status of deliverables.

Effect of cancellation

Upon cancellation:

  • Our obligation to provide further services for the cancelled assignment ceases.
  • You remain responsible for any outstanding fees for work completed up to the date of cancellation and any statutory or third‑party charges incurred on your behalf.
  • We will have no further responsibility for tracking or ensuring statutory compliances or deadlines for the cancelled assignment.

No guarantee of statutory extensions

Cancellation or delay in providing information to us does not extend or modify statutory due dates for tax or other filings. You remain responsible for any penalties, interest, or consequences imposed by authorities due to missed deadlines, especially where such delay results from your decision to cancel or your failure to cooperate.

Changes to this Cancellation Policy

We may revise this Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our processes or regulatory framework. The updated policy will be published on our website with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued engagement of our services after such revisions constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
